My Testimony
Born and raised in South Louisiana, I became interested in “magic” at the early age of 9. As a young adult, I performed as a professional magician, appearing in night clubs, local television, videos and even a USO show with Bob Hope. At the age of 22, I accepted Jesus as my personal saviour. As a young Christian, I felt God’s call on my life to serve Him in full-time ministry. I stayed away from “magic” and put my time and energy into learning God’s Word. I attended Gulf Coast Baptist Institute where I earned an Associate Degree in Christian Education and a Bachelors Degree in Theology. I have served as a pastor, missionary, associate pastor, youth minister, children’s minister, seminary teacher and camp facilities administrator. As I grew in the Lord, I realized my talent for slight of hand, previously wasted on worldly audiences, was a great means of presenting the Gospel. I began to do small object lessons applying Biblical applications and the results were tremendous! After much prayer, my wife and I have felt God’s leading to present our Lord Jesus through Gospel Illusions on a full-time basis. Pray for us as we follow our Saviour’s guidance in this endeavor.
